At the end of 2018, I set out some personal goals for 2019. I found it so helpful that I did it again at the end of 2019. It’s now time to review progress at Q1. One thing is for sure, this first part of the year with the emergence of COVID-19 is not quite how I imagined it.

TL;DR: Not a great start to the year on a number of fronts. Reading and blogging going well, but cycling gone to pot.

>> Read 50 books. On target. 16 read so far.

>> Summarise 100% of non-fiction books read. On target. Read and summarised 6 so far.

>> Cycle 4000 miles. Way off target. 243 miles cycled this year. Done a bit more running to compensate — current total for running is 71 miles.

>> Cycle a Gran Fondo each month. Way off target. Perhaps will bring it back on target later in the year.

>> Write 10 Blog Articles. 3 done so far.

>> Get 1,000 Twitter Followers. Currently at 978 — tantalisingly close!

>> Get to my target weight. Not doing great, but kind of going in the right direction. Logically, the slowness in progress linked to the lack of cycling, the reality is also the increase in visits to the biscuit tin.

>> Spend more time with my family and friends. COVID-19 helping with this!

>> Write weeknotes. No target (intentionally). 11 done so far this year.
